FRIENDS OF THE SAINT LOUIS UNIVERSITY LIVER CENTER ANNOUNCE Fifth Annual “Shoot for a Cure” Event

What: Friends of the Saint Louis University Liver Center Fifth Annual “Shoot for a Cure” Event

Why: SAVE THE DATE! Make plans NOW to join the Friends of the Saint Louis University Liver Center at the Fifth Annual “Shoot for a Cure” fundraising event at the beautiful Strathalbyn Farm Club.

Located on 120 pristine acres in the Weldon Springs area of St. Charles County, Missouri, Strathalbyn Farms Club offers a unique private club environment for this benefit shooting event (membership courtesy of host Todd Keske.)

Event registration begins at 12:30 pm with a required safety meeting at 1:15 pm, and the shotgun start takes place at 1:45 pm. Cocktails and appetizers will be served between 3:30 and 5:00 pm, with a country-style dinner starting at 5:30 pm. After the exciting Live Auction following dinner, the day-long event ends with a bonfire and s’mores.

Professionals from Marco Polo Outfitters L.C. and Beretta® will be on hand to demo shotguns and provide training for shooters, and Cabela’s® representatives will also be available on-site during the event.

Sponsors for the 2013 “Shoot for a Cure” Event include the Presenting Sponsor, Foam Supplies, Inc.; Club Sponsor Special Design Health Care; and Practice Area Sponsor Marco Polo Outfitters L.C. The other event sponsors are Cabela’s, Commercial Bank, and Saint Louis University Hospital. The Friends are still looking for additional sponsors at various investment levels.

Tickets for the upcoming “Shoot for a Cure” event are $160 for 50 rounds of shooting, or $200 for 100 rounds of shooting. Both of the shooting sports tickets include all clays and shells. Guests choosing not to participate in the shotgun sports can purchase tickets for $95 per person. All tickets include the buffet dinner and other Club activities.

Proceeds will benefit the Friends of the SLU Liver Center, which supports the research efforts of the world-renowned Saint Louis University Liver Center for the treatment and cur of liver diseases, and promotes understanding and awareness of liver disease. All money raised by the organization stays in the St. Louis area to perform life-saving research and treat patients in St. Louis.
