You are at risk of hepatitis B infection if you:
- have sex with someone who is infected with HBV
- have unprotected sex with multiple partners
- live in the same house with someone who is infected with HBV

- inject illegal drugs
- hav e hemophilia
- travel to areas where hepatitis B is common
- were born in an area of the world where hepatitis B is endemic - Asia, sub-Saharan Africa.
